If you were convicted of a felony in a state or federal court, you are barred from voting:

  • While incarcerated
  • While on probation
  • While on parole

If you were convicted of a misdemeanor, you never lose the right to vote.

Once you have completed your felony sentence, you can register or re-register to vote.  You do not need to show any special documentation.

Vote to empower yourself, your family and your community.  Vote so that the needs of your community are addressed by those in office.  Vote because your voice is important and deserves to be heard.

Register to vote at your post office, public assistance office or DMV, or download a voter registration form at http://www.kssos.org/forms/elections/voterregistration.pdf.
